Judith at her retirement lunch with HOD Science Anthony Clancy
This week, the USHS Science Department farewells a very much
loved and valued member of our staff, Judith Perry. Judith joined the education
department in 1992 as a laboratory technician at Hervey Bay State High School.
In 1994, she began work at Urangan State High School as Science Operational
Officer. For 21 years, she has been an essential contributor to the growth of
our school, ensuring the safe and efficient running of the experiments and
investigations in our Science labs.
Prior to her career in Education Queensland, Judith worked
at a blood bank in Brisbane where she acquired skills and techniques of working
in a laboratory. She moved to Hervey Bay in 1986 with her husband Allan and their
two children, Chris and Meghan. Both their children completed junior high
school in USHS.
Her passion for the sciences and commitment to supporting
our students, teachers and staff over the years has been a blessing for USHS.
She has positively touched the lives of so many people, past and present. We
wish Judith the best on her retirement, and lots of special time with friends,
family and grandchildren.
Jude, big thank you for all the years of service to our
school community. We will miss you terribly!
