Wednesday 18th June marked a significant milestone in the history of Urangan State High School with the official opening of our brand-new Sports Centre.
We were delighted to welcome the Honourable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and the Arts, who officially opened the facility. Mr Langbroek unveiled the commemorative plaque alongside our school captains, principal & Member for Hervey Bay, David Lee MP.
The highlight of the event was the moving debut of 'To New Beginnings', composed & conducted by USHS alumnus Will Pipe & performed by our Community Band of students, staff & fellow alumni
Special thanks to Aunty Karen for delivering the Welcome to Country & to all of our special guests for attending. It was brilliant to have some of the Bryant Building Contractors team with us, who brought the vision of our Sports Centre to life.
