​​​To set up and use the iPad, students and families are encouraged to access the help information found online through Apple Support.  You can also call Apple Support on 1300 321 456.

​Students can access IT Help Desk in the Resource Centre every morning before school​ 8.15am to 8.45am.

​​Parent controls and restrictions

Parents will need to set up the device with their own iTunes account to be able to access school texts and resources.  This also allows you to set restrictions and parental controls.

​​Data and power use

​Know your data limits for home wi-fi or mobile networks.  If a monthly data limit is only 2GB, this may be ​used up quickly during large downloads.

All school Apps and iBooks have the file size next ​to them in the download list.

​Security

​For maximum security, ensure:

  • ​the password or network key protection is enabled on home and mobile wi-fi networks
  • privacy and parental restrictions are password protected
  • the passcode is set so others may not access it.
