Urangan State High School offers several pathways for students entering senior school:
Higher education pathway
Students study 4 - 6 general subjects. These students qualify for a QCE and an ATAR.
Workforce pathway
Students study 5 or 6 applied subjects which may include a vocational education training certificate. Students qualify for a QCE.
Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement
Students may be invited to complete a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA).
Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments (AARA) are supports that help eligible students complete assessment fairly when a disability, medical condition or other circumstance affects their access.
To support an AARA application, confidential documentation may include a
student statement (DOCX, 143KB), an
application form (PDF, 533KB) and a
medical report form (DOCX, 131KB), which together provide information about the student’s circumstances, the impact on assessment, and the evidence needed to consider appropriate adjustments.
