Urangan State High Junior Secondary Curriculum contains a sequence of carefully planned and balanced learning experiences designed to meet the current and future needs of students and our community. It is grounded in student focused educational philosophy and practice, responsive to individual student needs, as well as being rich in real-life significance. It is also flexible to cater for the needs of each individual student and to prepare them for the challenges of the world of tomorrow.
Our curriculum is focussed around a student’s active investigation of our world. Through investigation, students will interpret, interact and influence the world in which they live.
Students in the Junior School will participate in two lessons per week to develop their social and emotional skills. This time is also used for Year Level and House assemblies.
