Participation in the P&C (Parent and Citizens/Community Association) provides the opportunity for you to have direct involvement, share your positive ideas and a voice in school decision making. Having input into the success and progress of the school is rewarding and benefits your child. For a child, knowing that their parent/carer and school community are involved in their education/learning and development of their school helps them to feel valued and supported. Together as partners, the school and P&C work collaboratively; providing a successful education. This is the result of a team effort involving the school community, staff, parents/carers and students. The Urangan State High School P&C encourages you to participate in your child's education.

The USHS P&C operate the following SCHOOL SERVICES:

CANTEEN - for students, families and staff (click on the link for the Canteen menu)

  • The Canteen is open Monday to Friday (before school 8.15am - 8.45am; first and second break; after school 3.00pm - 3.15pm).
  • The Canteen follow the Smart Choices (Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy). All food lines are set by Green, Amber or Red designation.
  • Each day there is the set menu, along with "special" food items.
  • There are also EFTPOS facilities available.
  • There is a very small but dedicated team and volunteers that give of their time to make sure this service is provided for the students. If you have some spare time why not volunteer at the Canteen. We would welcome your help.

These businesses generate significant funds on an ongoing basis for the benefit of students/families/staff and school projects.

The P&C also hold social and FUNDRAISING ventures, along with other activities throughout the year, and your support of these activities is always appreciated.

Some of the USHS P&Cs notable achievements include fundraising for, and assisting with the implementation of:

P&C meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month – 5.30pm-7.00pm in the Boardroom (located in the Administration building; enter via the back door).

  • These meetings provide an opportunity to keep up to date with what is happening at the school; with reports being presented by the Principal and the P&C.
  • Please join our P&C – share your positive ideas, contribute to your child’s education and help us in helping our students (Click link for the current P&C Strategic Plan).
