Each year, Urangan State High School proudly takes part in the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) Program, an innovative road safety initiative delivered in partnership with Rotary and Road Safety Education Limited. RYDA provides students with practical, real-world learning experiences that help them develop the knowledge, attitudes, and decision-making skills needed to become safe and responsible road users.
Through engaging workshops, interactive demonstrations, and presentations from road safety experts and community members, students gain valuable insights into the risks associated with driving and the importance of making safe choices both as drivers and passengers. The program aligns strongly with Urangan State High School's commitment to developing curious learners, creative thinkers, and connected humans, empowering young people to make informed decisions that positively impact themselves and their community.
Urangan State High School values the opportunity to take part in RYDA each year, helping prepare students for a lifetime of safer road use, personal responsibility, and positive community engagement.
