Wellbeing Hub

The Wellbeing Hub at Urangan State High School is a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to supporting every student in becoming curious, creative, and connected—both in their learning and in their personal development. Designed as a welcoming, inclusive, and student-centred space, the Hub provides a calm environment where young people can access the guidance, care, and resources they need to flourish throughout their high school years.

At the heart of the Hub is a multidisciplinary team including Guidance Officers, Youth Support Workers, school-based health professionals, and community partners. This highly collaborative network ensures students receive timely and personalised support across mental health, wellbeing, academic pathways, and personal development.

Students are encouraged to explore challenges with curiosity, embrace creative problem-solving, and stay connected with trusted adults who can help them navigate friendships, stress, family concerns, attendance issues, and future planning. Whether a student needs counselling, conflict resolution support, career guidance, health referrals, or simply a quiet moment to regroup, the Hub offers a safe and culturally responsive environment that fosters growth and resilience.

The Wellbeing Hub also leads proactive programs that strengthen social skills, build emotional intelligence, celebrate cultural identity, and encourage students to take creative approaches to their wellbeing and learning. By working closely with families, local organisations, and school staff, the Hub strengthens every connection surrounding a student, ensuring they have a strong foundation of support.

At Urangan State High School, wellbeing is the starting point for success. The Wellbeing Hub brings this philosophy to life—empowering students to become curious learners, creative thinkers, and connected individuals who feel supported, valued, and ready to achieve their best.
