Year 10 Business Studies - Market Day Success!
Australia needs enterprising individuals and businesses and our USHS Year 10 Business Studies students are well on their way to developing their entrepreneurial skills embracing opportunities, making informed decisions and contributing to the common good of our school. The Year 10 Business Studies Students ran their first Market Day for the benefit of USHS school community.
At the end of last term students planned, organized and operated a range of Market Day stall including Bacon and Egg burgers, Sausage Sizzle and Kebabs, Milkshakes, Lolly Stall, Bake Sale, Scones and Icy Cups. Student raised approximately $400 within the lunchbreak and these funds will be donated to a local charity.
This subject develops a range of skills that foster enterprising individuals who can effectively embrace change; seek innovation; work with others; show initiative, flexibility and leadership; plan, organise and manage risk; and use resources efficiently.
