Earlier this week, some of our support staff & members of the executive team attended the May Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce breakfast to speak about our process to support students in school & post graduation.
Our Principal, Tony McCormack, emphasised the importance of providing students with the skills & opportunities to realise & achieve their goals. He highlighted the work of Trisha in the coordination of Work Experience opportunities & the important role Emma plays as our local Link & Launch officer.
Link & Launch is a school-based program that assists graduates to transition into education, employment or training, based on their individual career goals. If you are looking for a young person to join your team or if you would like assistance post-school please contact Emma on 0457 074 330 or eamor5@eq.edu.au.

At the breakfast Mr McCormack announced a new role to the USHS community, the Transitions Pathways Officer (TPO). TPOs work to support students at-risk of cancellation or
exit with an unknown/unsustainable pathway from years 9 – 12. We are thrilled to continue to grow our support team and can't wait to see the many ways this will benefit our students.
