Over the Christmas break, three members of our staff graduated from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) on the same day, each achieving significant postgraduate qualifications 🎓 Their dedication to learning, growth & professional excellence reflects the values of curiosity, creativity, and connection that we strive to instil in our students every day.

Helen Webb (English Teacher), graduated with a Master of Education (School Guidance and Counselling) – an underlying skillset that contributes to our culture of student wellbeing, learning & development across the school.

Simon Ring (English/Maths Teacher), graduated with a Master of Teaching (Secondary). Simon joined Urangan SHS in 2025 as an intern through the Department’s Turn to Teach Program - a pathway that supports professionals transitioning into education, bringing fresh perspectives & real-world experience into our classrooms.
