The Year 11 Certificate III in Early Childhood Educating and Care students are out and about having fun interacting with children in our local child care centres whilst having their practical competencies achieved. Students are working towards leaving school with a qualification that earns them an income straight out of school without any additional study.
When Mrs Olive and Mrs Byrne go out to visit our current students they are delighted to see the number of past students who are engaged in meaningful paid employment in this industry in the local centres in our community. You could be like these students and begin your qualification in semester 2 year 10, while you are at school.
The current year 12 class has 15 students who are graduating with their Certificate III, two of these students have been employed at local centres and have already started working in the industry. Congratulations to these students, you are a credit to your hard work.
Great work students keep flying the Urangan flag high.
This is a great career pathway if you would like to work with children. To do this be sure to select Pre-senior Childcare Studies in Semester 1 of Year 10 and follow on with the Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care in Semester 2 Year 10 and again in Year 11 and 12.
